The City of Terrell invites residents to participate in the Terrell Citizens Academy, a dynamic eight-week program designed to promote community engagement and a deeper understanding of municipal government. Through a series of interactive presentations, field tours, and hands-on demonstrations, participants will learn about city operations and services, and the vital role citizens play in shaping the future of the community.
Class size will be limited to eighteen (18) people.
There is no cost to apply or attend the Terrell Citizens Academy.
Requirements
Potential candidates for the Terrell Citizens Academy must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum age of 18
- City of Terrell resident
- Ability to attend classes (no more than two absences)
Schedule
Class Schedule: The Academy will meet every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. over an eight-week period, beginning September 11 through November 4, 2025. Dinner will be held from 6 - 6:30 pm.
