Excavation Permits
An excavation permit is needed to dig in city streets, sidewalks, alleys, or public places and some types of improvements within the public right-of-way.
Emergency Repairs
Emergency repairs to utilities may proceed without a permit, however, the department must be notified within 24 hours.
Driveway & Sidewalk Replacement & Improvement
Replacement or improvement of existing driveways and sidewalks or new work not covered by a building permit requires a permit for work within the public right-of-way.
Annexation Petitions
Annexation petitions are also available from the Engineering Department. The City of Terrell will consider the annexation of any property eligible under state statutes. Contact the Engineering Department for information on annexation.
